Megan Moroney has shared the title track to her upcoming third studio album Cloud 9, due out on February 20th. The new track is now the fourth song released from Moroney’s 15-song LP, following the recent arrival of “Wish I Didn’t,” as well as the gold-certified country radio No. 1 smash “6 Months Later,” and Billboard Hot 100 hit “Beautiful Things.”

Written by Moroney, Luke Laird, Jessie Jo Dillon, and Ernest Keith Smith and produced by longtime collaborator Kristian Bush, Cloud 9 is a song “for the lover girls,” (according to Moroney).  A press release shares that the track is a “gravity-defying love song (that) makes for a gorgeous kickoff to Cloud 9 release month. ‘Cloud 9’ channels the quiet awe of someone who’s overcome her share of heartbreak — but ultimately looks to the future with unstoppable joy.” See the lyric video for ‘Cloud 9’ – HERE.

Moroney also shared she will release of the ‘Songwriter’s Edition’ of Cloud 9’s vinyl, with its tracklist sequenced in chronological order according to when each song was written. This album variant features exclusive cover art on a gatefold jacket with a special insert on Purple Cloud vinyl.

Finally, Moroney just announced ‘9 Cities. 9 Days‘ —  a fan-focused celebration of her new album.  Moroney is set to make exclusive appearances in nine cities across the country, while performing a handful of songs at select stops. “When I thought about the release of Cloud 9, I knew I wanted to spend it with my fans,” shares Moroney. “They’re the reason I get to do this, and I’m so excited to celebrate this album with them!”

‘9 Cities. 9 Days’ kicks-off in New York City on the album’s drop date of February 20th, with stops in cities including Richmond, VA, Nashville, TN, Athens, GA, Newport, KY, Kansas City, MO, Denver, CO, and Salt Lake City, UT before wrapping-up on February 28th in Scottsdale, AZ.  Except for the Scottsdale stop (which is free) tickets to the 9 Cities. 9 Days. events will be $9, available to purchase at the venue box office beginning at 9 am local time on the morning of each event with a limit of two tickets per person. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will go towards The Megan Moroney Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to address bullying and raise awareness for mental health by promoting kindness.
