Vice President JD Vance conducting the swearing-in ceremony for Marco Rubio as the 72nd secretary of state on Tuesday, who became the first of President Donald Trump’s official Cabinet members. On Monday, the Senate voted 99-0 to confirm Rubio, a former Republican senator from Florida, to take the position previously held by former Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who served in President Joe Biden’s administration for his entire term.
