Vice President-elect JD Vance visits Fairview, North Carolina, on the morning of Dec. 6.
Hurricane Helene devastated the region two months ago. Vance will meet with first responders, receive an update on recovery efforts, and survey a Samaritan’s Purse home recovery project. He will also meet with the family of Battalion Chief Tony Ray Garrison, who died while assisting in the rescue of victims of a landslide caused by Helene.
