The Milwaukee Police Department confirmed to The Epoch Times they arrested a man who was carrying a firearm with a full magazine in a tactical bag not far from the Republican National Convention (RNC) on July 15.
According to the department, the 21-year-old suspect was clad in a ski mask.
The incident comes just days after a shooter targeted former President Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania.
U.S. Capitol Police noticed the suspect on N. 11th Street, near the massive perimeter of the convention, at 1 p.m.
“United States Capitol Police performed a subject stop,” a statement shared with The Epoch Times from the department’s Office of Public Relations read. It added that the suspect has no concealed carry weapon permit in Wisconsin “or any other state.”…
