Feds Should Continually Monitor Asylum Seekers to Stop ‘Significant Threats’: IG Report

The watchdog arm of the Department of Homeland Security found holes in the vetting process for illegal immigrants seeking asylum and for noncitizens at entry ports creating “significant threats to public safety and national security.”
That’s according to a report released this month by the Office of Inspector General (IG) for the Department of Homeland Security Department (DHS).
“Until the department addresses these challenges, DHS will remain at risk of admitting dangerous persons into the country or enabling asylum seekers who may pose significant threats to public safety and national security to continue to reside in the United States,” the report stated….
