The first full length trailer for “The Walking Dead: Dead City” was just released. ‘The Walking Dead’ spinoff series reunites Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Megan) and Lauren Cohan (Maggie) together again as an unlikely team forced to work together on a trip to New York City. “Dead City” takes place at an undetermined time in the future after the events of “The Walking Dead”. Maggie calls on Negan to help her rescue her son Herschel after he’s kidnapped during a raid on her community.

“The Walking Dead: Dead City” is the first spinoff series to drop since the main show ended in 2023. Several more spin-offs are also in the works including one focused on Rick Grimes and Michonne as played by Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira.

The full synopsis for “The Walking Dead: Dead City” reads: “The Walking Dead: Dead City follows the popular Maggie (Cohan) and Negan (Morgan) characters traveling into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, long ago cut off from the mainland. The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.” Gaius Charles and Željko Ivanek also star in the upcoming series, which debuts on AMC on Sunday, June 18 at 10 p.m. ET with subsequent episodes airing on AMC on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET.
