Trump Says He Prefers 1 Big Bill to Pass Agenda, but Open to 2

WASHINGTON—President-elect Donald Trump said on Jan. 6 that he prefers to use one bill to pass his big agenda items but is open to alternative approaches. In a Jan. 5 social media post, Trump called for “one powerful bill” that included measures pertaining to border security, taxes, and U.S. energy. On taxes, Trump wants an extension of the 2017 tax cuts alongside enacting no taxes on tips. The following day, on the radio show of conservative commentator Hugh Hewitt, Trump said he does not mind how his campaign legislative promises get passed as long as the job gets done. He acknowledged that not everyone is on board with his approach, although he did not give names….
