Biden Vows Peaceful Transfer of Power

WASHINGTON— President Joe Biden promised a peaceful transition of power in remarks from the White House after former President Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 election.
The president said he spoke with Trump yesterday to congratulate him on his win.
“I assured him that I will direct my entire administration to work with his team to ensure a peaceful and orderly transition,” the president said of his conversation with the present-elect.
Speaking from the Rose Garden, the president sought to strike a conciliatory tone, saying that it’s time to accept the results of the election.
“I know for some people, it’s a time for victory, to state the obvious. For others, it’s a time of loss. Campaigns are a conflict of competing visions, the country chooses one or the other. We accept the choice,” Biden said….
