Biden Offers Prayers for Trump, Condemns Shooting at Pennsylvania Rally

President Joe Biden delivered remarks on Saturday evening after former President Donald Trump was shot and injured during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.
“There’s no place in America for this kind of violence. It’s sick, it’s sick,” President Biden said from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where he’s spending his weekend.
“It’s one of the reasons we have to unite this country,” President Biden continued. “We cannot allow for this to be happening. We cannot be like this. We cannot condone this.”
The president said that he hoped to speak with the former president.
“I’ve tried to get a hold of Donald,” he said….
